WHAT CAT PARENTS ARE SAYING
Nearly 9 in 10 Multi-Cat Homes Show Signs of Tension. Halloween Pushes It Over the Edge.
Your cats aren't 'just being cats.' What looks like normal rivalry — the staring, the chasing, the hissing — is actually chronic stress. And according to the 2024 AAFP guidelines, 73% of cases start the moment a new cat is introduced.
Then comes Halloween: a doorbell that won't stop, strangers in masks, a house that suddenly looks and smells different. A frightened cat can't lash out at the trick-or-treaters — so it lashes out at the cat next to it. Vets call it redirected aggression, and one bad night can start a feud that lasts for weeks.
Left unaddressed, the tension doesn't level off. It escalates — into ambushes, injuries, and vet bills that add up fast.
You've Done Everything Right… and One Halloween Night Can Undo It All.
Separating Them
Keeping them apart stops the immediate conflict, but it doesn't fix anything. On Halloween night, with the doorbell going and kids shouting outside, shutting two frightened cats in separate rooms just gives each of them a door to yowl at.
The moment they're back in the same space, the tension picks right back up. Separation is a band-aid — not a solution.
Pheromone Diffusers
Most rely on a single pheromone, but cats experience different types of stress — so results are hit or miss.
And a diffuser stays plugged into one wall. On Halloween your cats will be hiding under two different beds in two different rooms.
Enzyme Cleaners
Great for eliminating the smell, but they do nothing to address the root cause of the behavior.
A spotless home on October 30th won't stop a stressed, territorial cat from spraying — or picking a fight — on October 31st.
Using different Type of Litter
It's easy to blame the litter — but in most cases, inappropriate peeing is driven by stress or anxiety, not texture preferences.
You can try every brand on the shelf and still see no change, because the problem isn't the box. It's the fear.
Stop Separating Your Cats. Fix the Real Problem — Before the 31st
The hissing. The ambushes. The vet bills. It's not a personality clash — it's a stress response, and Halloween is the most stressful night of your cats' year. Until you address the anxiety driving the aggression, no amount of separation or slow introductions will fix it.
GentlePaws targets the root cause, so your cats can ride out the doorbells side by side instead of at each other's throats.

How It Works?
Most calming products send one pheromone signal and hope for the best. GentlePaws uses three — facial pheromones, maternal pheromones, and valerian root — working together to target the three stress pathways behind your cat's anxiety. It doesn't mask the behavior. It calms the nervous system driving it.
Put the collars on a few days before the 31st and the calm is already in place when the first costume comes to the door. The result: less fighting, less spraying, less hiding — and a home that stays peaceful through the whole Halloween weekend.

The Only Breakaway Pheromone Collar for Safer, Calmer Cats
Fake cobwebs, string lights and dangling decorations make October the month a breakaway collar matters most.
The breakaway safety feature is designed to protect your cat in case the collar gets caught on furniture, branches, or other objects.
Before use, simply cut the small notched sections on the collar to activate the breakaway function.
Once activated, these sections create a controlled weak point in the collar. If your cat ever gets snagged, the collar will instantly release under pressure, helping prevent choking or injury.
This feature allows your cat to enjoy the calming benefits of pheromones without compromising safety.
⚠️ Beware of Cheap Collars with Lavender & Chamomile
Most pheromone collars on the market—over 95% of them—contain lavender and chamomile.
These ingredients might smell nice, but they can be toxic and irritating for cats when absorbed through their skin according to studies.
That’s why Gentle Paws™ Calming Collars are completely lavender-free and chamomile-free, designed with natural, cat-safe ingredients only to keep your feline calm without risking their health.
GentlePaws Cat Calming Collar (2-Pack)
Order any Calming Collar pack before Halloween and get a FREE 3-pack of Silvervine Chew Sticks ($14 value) — one for each cat to chew on while the trick-or-treaters come and go, so they take it out on the stick instead of each other. Added to your order automatically, no code needed.
🎃 Halloween Offer: Free Silvervine Chew Sticks
Every Calming Collar pack ordered before Halloween comes with a free 3-pack of Silvervine Chew Sticks ($14 value), added to your order automatically.
Silvervine is a natural plant that most cats find irresistible. Chewing it relieves stress, supports dental health and gives each cat something to focus on other than the doorbell — or each other. Hand one out before the trick-or-treaters arrive, and let the collars do the rest.
Offer valid until October 31st or while stocks last. One free pack per Calming Collar pack ordered.
Instructions
Adjust the collar to fit around your cat’s neck, leaving about 1/4″ (0.6 cm) of space. Trim any excess length, but keep 1–2″ (2.5–5 cm) for adjustment. For growing kittens, check the fit regularly to ensure it’s not too tight. For all cats, inspect the collar daily for a safe and proper fit. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling the collar.
If your cat has never worn a collar before:
- Place the collar loosely around their neck and supervise them for 10 minutes.
- If tolerated, adjust the collar so you can fit two fingers (about 1″ / 2–3 cm) between the collar and neck.
- Continue supervision for 30 minutes.
- If your cat remains comfortable, the collar can then be worn without supervision.

Got Questions ?
We've Got answers.
When should I put the collars on for Halloween?
Put a collar on each cat 3–5 days before Halloween. The pheromones are released continuously once the collar is in contact with the skin, and most cat parents notice their cats settling within the first few days — so by the time the first trick-or-treaters arrive, both cats are already in a calmer state. Each collar then keeps working for a full 30 days, covering the fireworks and visitors that follow. Because the pheromones only act on the cat wearing the collar, every cat in the feud needs their own.
What activates the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar?
Close contact with the dog’s or cat’s skin allows the release of the pheromones for 30 days.
Can the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar be hung in a car or the house or left in a kennel?
No, close contact with the pet is required to activate the collar.
If I cut the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar will it affect how it works?
No, cutting the collar does not reduce efficiency.
What happens if the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar gets wet?
If the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar gets wet, it should be taken off and wiped dry in order to maintain continual release of the pheromone. It can be replaced on the dog or cat with no lost of efficiency.
What are the warnings for people handling the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar?
The GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar is not a toy so it should be kept out of reach of children. Contact with the collar while on the dog or cat should not be a problem
What happens if a dog or cat eats or chews on a GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar?
The GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar is made of plastics, so there could be a foreign body reaction. There are no toxic substances in the collar itself.
Will other pets in the house be affected by a GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar worn on one dog or cat?
No, the pheromone is released in the immediate vicinity of the pet wearing the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar.
Does the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar need to be stretched before it is placed on the dog or cat?
The GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar has no specific handling instructions.
How tight should the GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar be attached to the dog or cat?
The GENTLEPAWS Calming Collar should be close contact with the skin, like a flea collar, but with at least two fingers fitting between the collar and the pet
